The Division of Workers Compensation has revised its draft physician fee schedule.   The revised regulations propose adopting the resource-based, relative value scale (RBRVS) as well as rules relating to calculation of fees.  In addition, the proposal makes changes to conversion factors and report fees.  The new proposal also adds funding to the physician fee schedule gained from reductions in spinal hardware and ambulatory surgical center fees and system savings gained through electronic billing.

The division has posted an on-line forum for members of the public to review and comment on the revised draft.  The forum can be found at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/DWCWCABForum/dwc_PhysicianFeeSchedule.htm and members of the public may comment until July 20.
